Trial, Credits, Refunds & Cancellation

Last updated: 3 August 2026

About this document. This policy sets out how Tasmin’s free trial works, how credits work, what we refund and what we do not, how to cancel, and what happens to your work if you decide Tasmin is not for you. It forms part of our Terms of Service and should be read with them and with our Privacy Policy. If anything here is unclear, email hello@tasmin.ai before you subscribe — we would rather answer the question than take money from someone who has misunderstood.

1. Who we are

Tasmin is operated by Tasmin Teoranta, a company registered in Ireland under number 821803, with its registered office at 55 Parnell Street, Waterford, X91 X278, Ireland. Where this policy says “we” or “us”, it means that company.

2. The free trial

Every new store starts on a free trial of 14 days with 100 credits to spend. It needs no card. You are not subscribed to anything, nothing is charged at the end of it, and you will not be asked for payment details to start it.

The trial is your evaluation period, and it is meant to be used. 100 credits is enough to write blog posts, draft social content and email, generate search copy and put Tasmin’s advisor to work — on your own store, with your own products, in your own brand voice. Spend them on the things you would actually pay for. By the time the trial ends you will have seen the real output rather than a demonstration, which is the whole point: choosing a plan afterwards is a decision you make having already tried the service.

Trial credits belong to the trial. Any trial credits you have not spent expire when the trial ends; they are not carried into a paid plan and they have no cash value.

3. What happens when the trial ends

At the end of the 14 days, Tasmin’s tools stop until you choose a plan. You are taken to a plan-selection screen, and the rest of the app is closed to you until you pick one. There is no automatic charge and no plan is chosen for you.

Your work is not deleted. Everything you made and everything you set up during the trial — drafted and scheduled content, your brand voice, your settings, your connected accounts, your history — stays exactly as you left it. Access is gated; your data is kept. Choose a plan and you carry straight on from where you stopped, with nothing to redo.

4. Plans and credits

Paid plans include a monthly allowance of credits. Credits are spent by AI-powered actions — a blog post, a caption, a set of search meta, an email — and each action’s cost is shown in the app before you run it. Current plan prices and credit costs are shown in the app and on our pricing page, and are the source of truth for what you pay.

Credits reset each month. They do not build up. On your renewal date your allowance is restored in full and the new month starts with the whole of your plan’s allotment. Anything left over from the month before does not roll into the new month — a month’s credits are for that month. If you find you routinely reach the end of a month with credits to spare, a smaller plan will suit you better, and you can change plan at any time.

The same boundary applies to your last month if you cancel: see Section 7. To be plain about the difference, because the two are easy to confuse — on an active plan, credits reset every month and surplus is not carried forward. On cancellation, credits keep working to the end of the period you have already paid for and then stop. One rule, two situations: credits expire at the period boundary, and there is never a balance that accumulates.

5. Top-ups

If you need more credits than your plan includes, you can buy a top-up pack as a one-off purchase. Top-up credits are not part of your monthly allowance: they sit on your account and stay there until you spend them, across month boundaries.

A top-up is not refundable once purchased. It is bought and delivered immediately, and it stays available to you until it is used.

6. Refunds

Credits are not refundable, and we do not buy them back. A credit is not money held on account — it is a unit of the service itself. When you spend one, Tasmin does real work at that moment: a call to our AI provider that we are billed for as it runs. That work has been delivered and cannot be returned, so a spent credit cannot be reversed, and unspent credits cannot be exchanged for cash.

Subscription fees are not refundable, including for a period you have paid for but decide part-way through not to use. Because you can cancel at any time and keep the rest of the period you have paid for (Section 7), you never pay for time beyond the month you have already begun.

None of this removes a right you have under Irish or EU law that cannot be excluded by contract. If something has gone wrong — you were charged twice, charged after cancelling, or charged for something you did not buy — that is not a refund question, it is a mistake, and we will put it right. Email billing@tasmin.ai and tell us what happened.

7. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time, from your account settings in Tasmin. There is no notice period, no cancellation fee and nothing to negotiate with anyone.

Cancelling stops the next payment. It does not cut you off on the spot: your plan runs to the end of the period you have already paid for. Until that date you keep full access and you can spend that period’s remaining credits right up to the last day. At the end of the period the subscription stops, no further payment is taken, and any credits still unspent lapse. Credits are consumable service, not stored value — they do not survive the period that issued them.

Cancelling a subscription is not the same as uninstalling Tasmin, and neither one deletes your data by itself. What happens to your data afterwards is described in Section 8 of this policy and in our Privacy Policy (Section 8 — Data retention & deletion).

8. If you do not subscribe — what happens to your work

This is the question merchants ask most, so here is the direct answer. If your trial ends and you do not choose a plan, we keep everything you made for 90 days after your trial ends. Your drafted and scheduled content, your brand voice, your settings and your history all stay in place. If you come back within that window and subscribe, it is all still there and you carry on.

After 90 days, that data is permanently deleted. Deletion is permanent: we cannot restore it afterwards, and neither can you.

You do not have to wait for the window to run out. You can ask us to delete your data at any point before then — that is your right of erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR — by emailing hello@tasmin.ai, and we will act on it. The same 90-day window is stated in our Privacy Policy (Section 8), alongside the other retention periods we apply.

9. Your right to withdraw

Tasmin is a business service. It is provided to merchants running a shop, and when you create an account you confirm that you are using Tasmin for business purposes. The statutory right to withdraw from a distance contract within fourteen days is a consumer protection, and it is not one that applies between businesses.

Separately, so that the position is clear either way: when you choose a plan you are asking us to give you the service immediately, and your plan’s credits are made available for you to spend the moment the subscription starts. By subscribing you expressly consent to that immediate performance and you acknowledge that, where a statutory right of withdrawal would otherwise apply, it ceases to apply once we have made those credits available for immediate use.

This is also why the free trial matters. It is 14 days, it costs nothing, and it exists precisely so that you evaluate Tasmin properly before any money changes hands — rather than paying first and deciding afterwards.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will post the updated version here and change the “Last updated” date above; where a change is material we will tell you, and because this policy forms part of the Terms of Service you will be asked to accept the updated terms in the app. A change never applies retrospectively to a period you have already paid for.
